I was inspired to recreate this piece because it was simply different. Cindy Sherman took a photo of a beautiful woman and transformed into something even more beautiful. She created an image that would make you do a double take and say “ I wonder how she thought of something like that. When I created my image, I placed all the ants and spiders one by one through an editing app. Figuring out where I wanted to place all of them was such a fun process and it made me appreciate Sherman’s work even more. After placing the bugs on the face I didn’t think my original picture was any less beautiful, I instead felt like I could be in a gallery.
